We have tried to make RTTA accessible to most people, however, it does involve some areas that are either physically or mentally challenging.
If you would like to discuss your requirements before you visit us please either drop us an email or give us a call and we will do our best to provide an extra assistance or advice.
We do not advise pregnant women join in with our tree top adventure, the harnesses can be a little restrictive and we would hate for any harm to come to your unborn bundle of fun.
What To Wear
We recommend that you dress sensibly for the weather, although clothes that cover the shoulders and waist are recommended due to the harnesses we will provide, girls – skirts are not advisable as the harness will fit around each leg. Clothes must also be comfortable and allow you to move around freely, depending on the weather you may get grubby so your Sunday best clothes are not recommended.
Trainers or non slip shoes are also advised.
Open toed footwear or slip on shoes are not advised and you will not be allowed to join in with the activity.
If your lucky enough to visit us on a rare sunny day please remember to apply sunscreen before getting into your harness, the trees will provide shade but there may be areas where the sun will shine through.
Your Safety (I know its boring but you have to read it!)
Whilst we are staffed by trained instructors our younger adventurers remain the responsibility of their accompanying adult at all times.
All our adventurers will be given a full health and safety briefing before being allowed in the training area.
All our adventurers MUST read and agree to our Safety Rules and Safety Waiver Form (adults are to sign for under 16’s).
All our adventurers will be given training and be observed in the training area before moving onto the main course.
Our safety system is the Edelrid Smart Belay, 2 locking clips with built in pulleys making it simple to use for all visitors young and old.
Any adventurer not following our safety rules will be brought down to ground level at a safe point and removed from the course.
Due to the nature of our business the following rules MUST be followed:
All participants must be at least 7 years old. Under 16’s will be supervised at all times by an adult or person over the age of 18, this can be from the ground unless the child is under 10 – the child will have to have an adult up in the trees with them.
Long hair is to be tied up securely, any necklaces should be removed or tucked into clothing, hoop earrings should be removed.
Any mobile phones or cameras are to be secured to yourself or turned off and placed in a zipped pocket.
If you do want to take any pictures please only take them from a platform.
YOU MUST NOT USE A MOBILE DEVICE FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN PHOTOGRAPHY WHILST IN THE TREES.
If you are supervising under 16’s you MUST be able to see them at all times. If you require prescription glasses for driving it is advisable you wear these for the activity.
Please dispose of any chewing gum before going up into the trees as this may pose a choking hazard.
When taking part in our activity eating and smoking are NOT permitted in any area of Raven Tree Top Adventure.
An instructor will fit you with your harness, helmet and smart belay. All our kit is sourced from Europe and is certified for use within and adventure park, for more information see the manufacturers website here. You will then have the opportunity to get used to the equipment in our training area after being given a full safety briefing.
Harnesses will be fitted over clothing as they may rub against the skin.
The training area is the only area you will be fully supervised by an instructor. If you are 16 years or older you will be personally responsible for the following safety rules and ensuring you are attached to the safety system at all times.
SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN:
You will be personally responsible for ensuring that anyone you have signed a waiver form for follows the safety rules and is correctly attached to the safety system at all times.
